Stonetown Orphanage

Stonetown Orphanage is in the city of Stonetown, and is the setting of the first part of Book 1. It is known to have a reading room, dining room, and dormitory. The headmaster is Mr. Rutger. This is where Reynie Muldoon grows up and meets his tutor (later adoptive mother) Miss Perumal. Reynie later leaves the orphanage to take Mr. Benedict's tests. Children at Stonetown Orphanage are often mean to each other, and Reynie was bullied on a regular basis during his stay.
