An Executive is one of Mr. Curtain's most trusted staff members. In The Mysterious Benedict Society, they act as teachers at the Learning Institute for the Very Enlightened, while in other books, they are simply commanding officers. They have been shown to have control over the Ten Men, as they are higher up in rank than Mr. Curtain's other minions.
Many Executives are Messengers who Mr. Curtain has deemed worthy to help him after they grow up. Some have also been known to be "special recruits" to the Institute.
Appearance
An Executive's uniform is much like a Messenger's, with a white tunic and blue sash, except that instead of the striped pants of a Messenger, an Executive wears solid blue pants.
